Yas Maple is a professional costume technician specializing in high-quality garment construction. Her work has been seen on the stages of Chicago’s theaters since 2010.

Yas puts her attention to detail and drive for excellence into all of her work. She has experience in dressmaking with both traditional and unconventional materials, as well as some of the techniques used in men’s tailoring. In addition to her stitching work, she has extensive experience in a number of fiber arts including knitting, crocheting, and embroidery. She has also been professionally trained in millinery, fabric painting, and dyeing.

In addition to her theatrical work, Yas has a strong interest in historical clothing, and is active in the Chicago-area historical reenacting community.
